Course Overview
The Monitoring and Troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 M5051 instructor-led training course has been designed to teach messaging specialists how to monitor and troubleshoot an Exchange Server 2007 messaging system. Candidates will also learn how to correlate client and server issues and resolve those issues as well as how to monitor systems and create reports from the monitoring data.Target Audience
Candidates who should consider attending the M5051 Microsoft training course are those with experience with Exchange Server 2007 or previous versions of Exchange Sever. Candidates should have prior experience installing and configuring Exchange Server, configuring recipients and mailboxes and supporting Exchange Server clients. Candidates are also expected to have at least three years` experience working in the Information Technology field (typically in the areas of network administration or Windows Server administration) and one year of Exchange Server administration experience.Course Objectives
On successfully completing the M5051 course candidates will be able to:- Use the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Management Pack for Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 to monitor Exchange servers

Course Prerequisites
Candidates attending the M5051 Microsoft training course should have a fundamental knowledge of network technologies including DNS and firewall technologies and experience administering Exchange Server 2007.Candidates are required to have experience with the Windows Server 2003 operating system, Active Directory directory service in Windows Server 2003 and managing backup and restore on Windows Servers. Experience using Windows management and monitoring tools such as Microsoft Management Console, Active Directory Users and Computers, Performance Monitor, Event Viewer, IIS Administrator as well as Windows networking and troubleshooting tools such as Network Monitor, Telnet, and NSLookup are also required.
Testing and Certification
The M5051 Microsoft training course is the recommended preparation for the 70-236: TS: Exchange Server 2007, Configuring exam. To prepare fully for this exam candidates will also need to attend and complete courses M5047, M5049 and M5050 before attempting this exam.Course Content
