The Implementing and Administering Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 M2576 instructor-led training course has been designed to provide candidates with the skills and knowledge required to implement and administer IIS 6.0. Target Audience

Candidates who should consider attending the M2576 Microsoft training course are experienced systems administrators and engineers (at a 200-300 skill level) who have experience in deploying, administering, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating system-based servers and networks.

Course Prerequisites

Candidates attending the M6234 Microsoft training course should have at least two years` experience in administering Microsoft Windows-based servers and knowledge and experience that is equivalent to the skills measured by exams 70-290 Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment and 70-291Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure.

Candidates are also required to possess skills to perform the following tasks: create user and group accounts, assign file system permissions to resources, configure network interface parameters, create and configure Domain Name System (DNS) entries, monitor server performance and monitor network traffic.

Testing and Certification

There are currently no exams or Microsoft Certification directly associated to this course however this course may assist in preparing candidates for other exams that are closely associated with this technology.

Module 1: Introduction to IIS 6.0

In this module candidates will learn the main features of IIS 6.0. In addition, the module provides an overview of the request processing, metabase architectures, security model, and the deployment considerations for IIS 6.0.
