Target Audience

Candidates who should consider attending the M5060 Microsoft training course are Business Application Administrators (BAAs) who are engaged in the planning, design, and selection of Line of Business (LOB) applications, including Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS), in conjunction with internal business customers. Their primary responsibility is the deployment, customisation, management, and support of LOB applications. They routinely monitor application status and troubleshoot application problems. Candidates are expected to have at least two years of experience in implementing, managing, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2003, including Internet Information Services (IIS).

Course Prerequisites

Candidates attending the M5060 Microsoft training course should have on-the-job experience in implementing, managing, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2003, including IIS and a working knowledge of networking, for example, TCP/IP and Domain Name System (DNS). Candidates are also required to have a basic knowledge of key benefits of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS), new features and functionality of MOSS, and WSS acting as a platform for MOSS. Finally, candidates should have previously completed course M3369 First Look: Getting Started with Windows SharePoint Service 3.0 or possess the equivalent skills and knowledge.

Testing and Certification

There are currently no exams or Microsoft Certification directly associated to this course however this course may assist in preparing candidates for other exams that are closely associated with this technology.
